TRAINING

OUR MISSION

The goal of the East Sooke Volunteer Fire Department training program is to provide a level of skills and competencies which meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Standards and comply with Worksafe BC regulations.

 

Areas of training include:​

Basic Fire Fighter Training (NFPA 1001)
Level 1 and Level 2 Fire Training
First Responders Training (Level 3)
Hazmat Awareness & Operations
Auto Extrication

Air Brake Endorsement
Low Slope Rescue
Forestry Fire Fighting
Emergency Preparedness

Our training schedule provides our members with the tools and abilities to work as a team to provide the community of East Sooke with the best protection possible.



Weekly training sessions are conducted at the fire hall on Thursday nights from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

New recruits are always encouraged and welcome.​
